‘Milk’ tonight at Local Community Food Centre

There will be a free movie night this evening in Stratford with a social justice theme.

The Local Community Food Centre will open its doors at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm screening of ‘Milk’.

The film is about the life of gay-rights activist pioneer Harvey Milk.

Tonight’s event is set against the backdrop of the winter games in Russia

Vladimir Putin’s anti-gay laws whipped up international controversy in the lead up to the Olympics and led to calls for boycotts.

The movie night is organized by the LCFC’s social justice club EPIC.
