A second period meltdown that enabled Elmira to score twice in 12 seconds sealed the Cullitons fate Friday night.
They went on to lose 4-3 to the Sugar Kings at the William Allman Arena.
Deven Kropf, Dylan Wettlaufer and Nathan Templeman each scored for Stratford but it wasn’t enough.
Nick Caldwell took the loss in net.
Stratford has no time to mourn the loss.
They travel to Cambridge Saturday night for a 7:00pm showdown with the red hot Winter Hawks.
