McKellar, Velma

Velma Emma McKellar, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Logan Township, daughter of the late Daniel and Emma (Reubesam) Wolfe. Survived by her son-in-law Robert Millar and her wonderful grandchildren; Sue (James) MacKay, Mike (Tracy) Millar, her great grandchildren, Jaxson MacKay and Morgan Millar.  Velma will also be remembered by her sister Verna O’Donnell as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Velma was predeceased by her sons Terry and Murray McKellar and daughter Jane Millar along with brothers Carmen, Elmer, Orvin and sisters Gertrude Winters and Martha Percy. Velma always enjoyed a good game of cards. She was a very proud member of the Stratford Legion Branch # 8 Ladies Auxiliary, Lakeside Seniors Association and a Loyal Member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (Stratford).  Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
