Roy, Wilfrid

Wilfrid Roy of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, three days short of his 95th birthday.

Beloved husband of the late Reta Roy.  Dear father of Janet Chandler and Tom of Evergreen, Colorado and James Roy and Beryl of Burlington. Loving grandfather of Amy Nettleton and Brad, Matthew Roy, Emily Belanger and Brad, all of Burlington. Cherished great grandfather of Evan, Graham and Adelaide Nettleton. Dear brother-in-law of Roxie Parrott of Mitchell.  Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents James and Agnes Roy, sisters Gene Miller (Roy) and Helen McTaggart  (Ferg), sister-in-law Beatrice Thompson (Norman), brother-in-law Ross Parrott and niece Karen Parrott.

A funeral service will be held at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. A reception and time to meet with family will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.  Online condolences at www.LockhartFuneralHome.com.
