A house fire in Stratford caused a bit of a traffic mess today.
At around 2:45 p.m. Stratford Police officers on patrol spotted smoke at 608 Ontario Street. The fire department was notified.
Police secured the scene and directed traffic while the firefighters put the blaze out. A road closure was set up around the intersection of Ontario and Romeo causing a backup in traffic.
The fire, which started in an upstairs bedroom, was quickly contained.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined at this time. There were no injuries.
