Stueck, Ivan

Ivan Allen Henry Stueck, age 93 of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital surrounded by family on June 14, 2015, after a brief illness. Ivan was born in North Easthope Township, December 3, 1921 son of the late Albert and Anna (Herman) Stueck. On June 3, 1953 Ivan married Mynetta Schmidt at St. James Lutheran Church, North Easthope and the couple farmed in North Easthope Township until retiring to Stratford in 2005. Ivan was a faithful lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church. Beloved husband of Mynetta (Schmidt). Loving father of James Stueck and Kathryn Sleightholm (Ross). He will be missed by his grandchildren Elizabeth and Kristina Sleightholm. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Glen, a sister Ruth Walsh (Robert) and by a brother-in-law Wilbert Schmidt. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, June 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Patricia Jackson will officiate. Interment at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, North Easthope Township.
