Bedford PS students helping build butterfly garden at Wildwood

Some local students are helping build a butterfly garden.

Kids from Bedford Public School in Stratford will be heading out to Wildwood Conservation Area Friday.  They’ll be working with The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority to create the garden.

The idea is to eventually grow the garden into a certified Monarch Waystation.  That’s a place where the butterflies can get everything they need to breed and keep up their migration.

Monarch butterflies are listed as a Species at Risk in Canada.
