With a lot of people celebrating Canada Day this weekend the Perth County OPP will be stepping up traffic enforcement. They’re urging drivers, boaters and off-roaders to work together to make it a safe one.
During last year’s Canada Day holiday traffic crackdown OPP officers wrote a number of tickets, including 94 for speeding and 12 for distracted driving in Perth County. As in previous years R.I.D.E. checks will be set up around the area.
Officers will also be running “Stop and Look” campaigns aimed at catching drivers who don’t stop or yield at intersections properly.
