Festival announces 2016 season

The Stratford Festival has announced next season’s lineup.

It includes Macbeth, A Chorus Line, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, As You Like It, the North American premiere of Shakespeare in Love, and The Aeneid.

The 2016 season will explore the theme “After the Victory”, examining victories of all kind and what we mean by “victory”.

The Festival will also be honouring the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare with a number of projects.  One of those is called Breath of Kings, a specially commissioned two-part exploration of Shakespeare’s four-play Henriad history cycle.

You can find the complete lineup for the 2016 Stratford Festival season at their website.  In the meantime the current season runs until November 1st.
