Betty Irene North (nee Swan) peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family on July 19, 2015 in her 86th year.

Beloved wife of the late Bill North and the late Jack Cubberley. Loving mother of Bill Cubberley (Rae Young), Bob Cubberley (Cathy), Jim Cubberley (Jane), Dennis Cubberley (Terry) and Step-mother of Don North (Wendy Struthers), Linda (Mike Moffat), Bonnie Tonner, Tom North (Janice), Sharon (Mike Krawetz), Bill North (Kim), Jim North (Edna), Barb (Gary Church), Betty Marchegiano (James), Perry North (Cathy), Dorothy (Victor Jakowenko), and Wilf North (Tracy) and the late Ken North. Dear grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jim Swan (Alice), Dorothy Bailey, Roy Swan (Maureen), Myrna Swan, Jr. Doupe, George Corrie. Predeceased by sisters and brothers Bruce, Don, Rita Corrie, Leona Doupe, granddaughter Kelly Cubberley. Betty’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Marys Memorial Hospital.

Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South, St. Marys, today, Tuesday, July 21, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Legion Ladies Auxiliary Service will take place at 7 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at the ST. MARYS UNITED CHURCH, 85 Church St. South, St. Marys, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Bruce Shorthouse officiating. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation or the St. Marys Legion Br. 236. Online condolences at hodgesfuneralhome.ca.
