McKone, Dorothy (nee Walker): Passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the age of 86. Born in Turnberry Township to the late Norman and Myrtle Walker. Beloved wife of the late Hugh McKone (1999). Loved mother of Brian of Toronto, Paul (Mark) of Waterloo, Murray (Lynn) of Stratford, Leanne Burr (Stephen) of Stratford and Kyle of Waterloo. Dear sister of Isobel Holland (Harvey) of Hanover, Joyce Leigh (Ronald, 2014) of Elliot Lake and Gloria Skowby (Ted) of Stratford. Proud grandmother of Alyssa (Mike) and Tyler McKone, Liam, Wesley (Esther), Mitchell (Michelle), Vincent (Bethany) and great-granddaughter Nykole Burr. Predeceased by her son Guy McKone (1999). Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Friday, August 7 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. A reception will be held at the funeral home following the interment in Avondale Cemetery. The family extends their thanks to the staff of River Gardens Retirement Residence and the staff of the Stratford General Hospital for their help and kindness.
