Wilker, Jean

Jean Clara Wilker, of 53 Kent Lane, Stratford,  passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, August 30, 2015 in her 76th year. Born in Stratford, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Ella (Weber) Petrie. She had been employed for many years at Square D in Stratford and was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Beloved wife of the late Carl “Wick” Wilker, whom she married at St. Joseph’s Church in 1962. Dear mother of Quincy Wilker (Sue Browning) of Stratford, Michele Thomson (Rob) of Stratford and Marshall Wilker (Ronalynn) of Guelph. Beloved grandmother of Brooke Wilker (Josh Wolf), Jacquie and Chrissy Thomson, Kesslin, Mckenna and Aileigh Wilker and Ali and Katie McNeil-Smith. Dear great-grandmother of Lucas Wolf. She will be fondly remembered by her brother Len Petrie and wife Marg of Stratford and Sister Marjorie Smith of Goderich. Jean is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.  A service in Jean’s memory will be held at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert St., Stratford, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 1:00p.m. Interment in Avondale Cemetery will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice through the funeral home at 519-271-5062. www.jarfh.com
