Messerschmidt, Viola

Viola Mary Messerschmidt, 94, a resident of the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Born in Fullarton Township on September 21, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Schellenberger) Messerschmidt.

Beloved sister of Margaret Renecker and Esther Dennis and Don. Dear sister-in-law of  Sarah Messerschmidt. Dear godmother of Linda Feeney. Special aunt to Sharon Renecker. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Janice Renecker, Joan Dennis-Newman, Diane Sickinger, Gloria Allen, Judy Messerschmidt, Lloyd Renecker, Warren Dennis and Ivan Messerschmidt.

Predeceased by brothers Harold and Ed Messerschmidt and twin brother Earl Messerschmidt and brother-in-law George Renecker.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor William Kramer officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in First St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
