John Thayne Cassidy, age 65, of Crystal Lake, R.R. 5, Stratford passed away at Hillside Manor on September 29, 2015. Born in Seaforth, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Donna (Mole) Cassidy. He had worked as a teacher’s aid at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Beloved husband of Marion (Kraft) Cassidy. Dear father of John Cassidy (Linda) of Gaspé, Quebec, George Cassidy (Donna) of Ingersoll and Shayne Cassidy (Sarah) of London, Ontario. Dear grandfather of Gary and David Cassidy, Rebecca Mills and Dylan Cassidy and Shania, Nancy and Audrey Cassidy. Dear brother of Wayne Cassidy of Ingersoll and Carol Hirt (Gene) of Tillsonburg. Dear brother-in-law of Anita Cassidy of Beachville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. In accordance with Thayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends may call at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11a.m. Rev.
