Wagler, Miriam

Passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Hillside Manor.  Miriam resided in Country Meadows Retirement Home, Brunner and was formerly of Milverton.  She was born 89 years ago in Linwood and was a daughter of the late Benjamin Sauder and former Rose Anna Martin.  Beloved wife of the late Alvin Wagler (2010).  Dear mother & grandmother of David Stewart of Stratford and his children; Ross Wagler and wife Shirley of Dunnville and their children Ralph, Scott, Sean, Vanessa and Tammy; Joyce Lockwood and husband Russell of Stratford and her son Jason.  Also remembered by her brothers & sister Harvey and Alice Sauder of Cambridge, Joanna Ropp of Tavistock, Maurice and Mabel Sauder of Kitchener, brother-in-law husband Philip Shepperd of London, sisters-in-law Diana Sauder of Kincardine, Eileen Horst of Elmira; foster children Bill and Wendy Crumb and family, Ronald and Linda Crumb.

Miriam was predeceased by brothers Mahlon Sauder, Wesley and Luella Sauder, Stanley and Dorothy Sauder, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law David and Mary Brunk, Aaron Horst, Harvey and Edna Wagler, John Wagler, Almeda and John Klassen, Barbara and Emmanuel Kuepfer, Nelda and Harold Cressman, Hilda and Clinton Bechtel, Idella Wagler, Beulah Shepperd; and foster-son Kurt Crumb.

Miriam was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank.  Alvin & Miriam took in several foster children over the years.

Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m..  The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank.  Pastor Doug Amstutz officiating.  Interment to follow in the Riverdale Mennonite Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or Riverdale Mennonite Church, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
