Innes, Jean Ann

Jean Ann (Flanagan) Innes, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Hillside Manor (Sebringville).  Born in Downie Township, daughter of the late Jack and Sara (McCaffrey) Flanagan. Jean married Robert “Bob” Innes on June 25, 1946 and predeceased her on December 22, 1973.  Proud and loving mother of Don (Deidre) Innes, Lois (Dennis) Groves and Sharon Innes (Brian Lalonde) all of Stratford.  Grandmother of Tracy (Tim) Jeffrey, Gary (Connie Oliver) Innes, and Scott Groves and great grandmother of Hannah, Preston and Jack. Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family, predeceased by her brothers, Bill, Tom, Jack and sisters Mary (Joe) Dietrich and Rita (Bill) Innes.  Jean enjoyed her time on the farm with her husband and family.  After Bob’s passing, Jean worked at K-Mart for a number of years; she retired and then returned as a host with the store. Jean was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and a longtime member of Brooksdale Women’s Institute. Family and friends may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, January 22, 2016  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
