Whilhelmina Van Den Tempel (nee Avezaat) – As she gave up her courageous battle with declining health, Mom passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, at the age of 85. She leaves behind her beloved husband George, whom she married June 8, 1954 in The Netherlands. Two weeks later they sailed across the Atlantic to start a new life in Canada. Mom’s memories will live on in the lives of her loving children, Andy and Sharon Van Den Tempel, Ted and Liz Van Den Tempel, Joanne and Mark Wraith and Geraldine and Ron Seyler. Her grandchildren Cory (Crystal) Van Den Tempel, Stew Taylor, David (Lauren) Van Den Tempel, Darryl Van Den Tempel (deceased 2008), Thea (Josh) Guenther, Sofia Van Den Tempel (Kelsey), Derek Van Den Tempel, Benjamin Van Den Tempel, Trevor (Leeanne) Wraith, Jessica (Carlyle) Anderson, Jason Seyler and James Seyler (Megan). Her great grandbabies, Michaela, Zakkary, Logan, Anika, Kase, Lincoln, Evelyn, Elsa, Hendrik and Emmett. Also survived by many family members in The Netherlands and Canada. Predeceased by brothers and sisters and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in The Netherlands and Canada. Our family has lost our quiet anchor. Family and friends may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, January 23 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford at 10:30 a.m. Father Seejo John will officiate. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
