McLean, Joan

Joan Eleanor Elizabeth McLean, age 77, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on February 4, 2016. Joan was born in Stratford and was the daughter of the late Walter (Danny)  and Mabel Fooks. She taught school in Kitchener and later at Avon Public School in Stratford until her retirment. Loving mother of Steven McLean. Dear sister of Marian Langdon and Jim Fooks (Karen). Also survived by a sister-in-law Margaret McLean (Gerald) and nieces and nephews, Ray Langdon, Carolyn Langdon (Marty), Elizabeth Langdon-Vitalis (William) and  Jamie Fooks. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law Ken Langdon. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home at 430 Huron Street in Stratford on Sunday, February 7 from 2-4 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jeff Lausten will officiate. Interment at Avondale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joan’s honour to the charity of one’s choice through the funeral home. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
