Griffin, Maureen

Maureen Emily Griffin, age 73, of Stratford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Stratford General Hospital.  Born in Windsor, daughter of the late Alphonse and Genevieve (Bezaire) Bondy. Maureen was predeceased by her husband James Griffin (April 19, 1985).  Loving mother of Jim (Annette) Griffin, Dennis (Denise) Griffin, Deanna (Derek) Dotzert and Paul Griffin.  Proud and supportive grandmother of Amy (Fabian) Hofman, Trevor (C.J.) Griffin, Jason (Darlene) Griffin, Kody (Brandi) Griffin, Jennifer (Kyle) McLeod, Michael Griffin (Amanda), Jessica Griffin (Tim), Jillian Griffin (Dylan), Mackenzie Laverty (Ashley), Curtis Dotzert,  Rachel Dotzert along with 14 great grandchildren.  Maureen is survived by her siblings Gerry (Dianne) Bondy, Gladys (Eldon) Paff, Mary (Mike) Scott, Roy and Betty Bondy along with a special niece Linda Francis and husband Phil, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband and parents, Maureen was predeceased by her mother-in law and father-in-law Gladys and Wilfred Keillor, a brother James Bondy and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Howard and Mae Griffin. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford.
