Waters, Geraldine

Geraldine Margella Waters, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Cedarcroft Place, Stratford. Born in Thorold, Ontario, daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Mahoney) Rowan. Predeceased by her husband Charles Arnold (Dunc) Waters on August 18, 1997.  Survived by her loving children Connie Bakker, Judy (Adrian) Pontsioen, David (Joyce) Waters, Al (Lisa) Waters and Sue (Don) Thibideau. Proud grandmother of Jason Bakker, Chris (Jen) Pontsioen, Rob Pontsioen (Claire Eckert), Corinne Robinson (Shawn Sheppard), Brent Waters, Ian Waters (Erika Blackie), Claire Waters (Rayne Bryson), Kali Waters (Mike Kruse), Andrew Waters, Dana Anderson (Cody), Kyla Gray (Richard), Brett Thibideau (Michael Rempel) Aaron Thibideau (Erin Fedeniuk). Great Grandmother of Taylor, Bianca, Ava, Jack, Charlie, Jacob, Lucy, Esther and Oliver.  Geraldine is survived by her brothers Ed and (Jeanette) Rowan and Fred Rowan and sisters-in-law Jean Hiscocks, Helen Waters and Irene Waters and brother-in-law Ed Swec, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Geraldine was predeceased by a daughter in infancy Dana Eileen Waters, grandson Brian Bakker, her stepmother Mary Rowan, along with her siblings and their spouses; Eva (Slim) Monrad, Bea (John)Waters, Mig (Keith) Craig, Eileen (Dave) Catherwood, Tom (Jane) Rowan, Mary Anne Swec and Bernice Rowan.  Friends and family may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday April 3, 2016 from 2-4:00p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday April 4, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford. Rev. Seejo John will officiate.  Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
