The long and bitter winter in our region has raised flood concerns along the Avon River.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority says the snowpack along the river contains twice-as-much water than is normal for mid-March.
For this reason, the RT Orr Dam will remain open into April.
The dam creates Lake Victoria every year in Stratford and is normally put into place by the first week of April.
