Lacing up to fight youth homelessness

Local emergency Services are trying to bring awareness to the issue of youth homelessness.

The Perth County OPP, St. Marys Fire Department and Perth County Paramedic Services are supporting the “Push for Change” campaign with Victim Services of Bruce Grey Perth.

The “Push for Change” came about when a former street youth turned successful entrepreneur, began pushing a shopping cart 9,000 km across Canada.  Joe Roberts started the campaign to help end youth homelessness.

The local campaign will be holding a free family skate between 2:00pm to 3:00pm, followed by a “Guns and Hoses” hockey game on Saturday, February 18th.  The event will be held at the St Marys Pyramid Community Centre.  You’re invited to come out and bring attention to the cause.
