Wagler, Daniel

Surrounded by his family, Daniel was received into the loving arms of Jesus and his beloved wife Audrey on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at his residence, Nithview Community, New Hamburg.  Daniel was a devoted dairy farmer, working the family farm at R.R. # 1 Shakespeare alongside Audrey.  He was born 81 years ago in South Easthope Township, a son of Daniel Wagler and former Mary Zehr.

Beloved husband of the late Audrey Wagler whom he married September 5, 1956 and who predeceased him just 8 days prior.  Loving father of Nancy and Ronald Jones of Kitchener, Charlene and Darwin Huber of New Hamburg, Barbara Martin (Keith 2016) of New Dundee, Margaret and Rick Roes of Shakespeare, Duane Wagler of Wellesley, Paul and Angie Wagler of Kitchener.  Sadly missed by his 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  Dear brother & brother-in-law of, Emmalien Lichti, Alma (Ken) Yantzi, Erma (Merlin) Bender, Lydia (Glen) Schumm, Ruby Wagler, Florence Schlegel, Isabel Ruby, Loraine Bender. Daniel was predeceased by brothers Stan (Ruby) Wagler, Lloyd Wagler and brothers-in-law Elmon Lichti, Howard Bender, Don (Louisa) Bender, Earl Schlegel, Vernon Ruby.

Daniel was a member of Living Water Community Christian Fellowship, New Hamburg.  He was involved with the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International and he helped plan and organize the Abundant Life Conferences.

Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A public interment will take place prior to the funeral service on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at 19th Line Mennonite Cemetery.  The funeral service will follow at East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th Line at 2:30 p.m.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Nithview Community or Samaritan’s Purse Canada.

A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Nithview Community, and all our family and friends for the outpouring of love and support during the past few months in the passing of our dear brother-in-law Keith, our Mom and our Dad.
