Although today is the National Day of Mourning, the flag at Stratford City Hall has not been lowered.
That’s because the flag pole was hit by lightning yesterday. However the flags on all other city buildings have been lowered.
The National Day of Mourning is a day set aside to pay respects to, and remember, the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents.
