Police Cracking Down on Speed

The Perth County OPP laid nearly 80 charges over its Canada Day long weekend blitz.

Police say 66 drivers were nabbed for speeding, which is now the number one killer on Ontario’s highways.

A recent report from the OPP says deaths caused by speeding are up more than 75 per cent compared to the same time last year.

Even though the blitz is over you can expect more police visibility in the coming weeks in speeder crack-downs.
