Perth East and Perth West are announcing a four-year agreement for shared fire services. The two municipalities tested the shared fire services before entering into its first formal three-year agreement. After this success, the two councils agreed to continue to have shared fire services. Perth East Mayor Bob McMillian the plan will continue to mutually benefit residents by providing top-notch fire protection. West Perth Mayor Walter Mackenzie agrees and says it is also a good financial arrangement.
