Gloor, Raymond

Ray Gloor passed away peacefully April 28, 2014 after a short illness. He lived his life fully and was treasured by family and friends for his kindness; always willing to offer his assistance for any and all projects. Ray was born on his family farm near Bornholm and lived most of his life there, moving into Mitchell in 2009. He was an avid volunteer, dedicated family man and wonderful friend. He was predeceased by his wife Helen, infant son Patrick, parents George and Ella Gloor. Survived by his friend Lynda Kelly, his children Greg and Chantal; Jane; Rob and Rob; Leslie and Steve; as well as eight grandchildren Alex, Jason, Torrin, Gaelan, Callum, Cian, Abby and Lucas. Ray was a father figure and mentor to many more. He lived a good life and was surrounded by family and friends to the end.

There will be a celebration of Ray’s life from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Brodhagen Community Centre on Friday, May 2. Donations may be made to Brodhagen Community Centre, Mitchell Food Bank or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 128, Mitchell through the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell.
