Another case of PED in our region

A farrow-to-finish operation in Middlesex County is the latest to be hit by porcine epidemic diarrhea.

PED was confirmed at the pig farm yesterday making it the 58^th casualty in Ontario.

That includes six in Perth, 11 in Huron and 10 in Oxford.

The nasty virus has also spread to PEI, Quebec and Manitoba.

It is not contagious to humans and does not impact meat quality.
