Stunt Driving Charges Laid near Mapleton

The Wellington County OPP has laid stunt driving charges against a man who was caught going nearly 140KPH in an 80 zone.

It comes as local police forces in Wingham, Woodstock and Stratford are pitching in with the OPP to crack down on the big four as part of Operation Impact.

Police say the 39-year-old from Schomberg is facing racing charges after an officer pulled him over near Mapleton on Tuesday.

The OPP is reminding drivers to check your speed as winter approaches, especially as stunt driving charges result in an immediate license suspension and impounding of your vehicle.
