The Middlesex County OPP says at least one person and three pets have died in a house fire in the Village of Ailsa Craig.
Police say the North Middlesex Fire Department arrived on the scene around 4:30 Wednesday morning and began evacuating neighbours from the area of the home which was already engulfed in flames.
The Office of the Fire Marshal is now investigating the cause.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
