Expect More Police Patrols on Snowmobile Trails

The Perth County OPP will be stepping up its patrols along snowmobile trails in the area.

It comes on the heels of three fatal snowmobile crashes in the final days of 2017 in southwestern Ontario.

Constable Laura Brown says make sure you’re keeping safety in mind on the trails.

She says impaired driving is not just an issue behind the wheel but also when operating a sled.

Losing your snowmobile license can also have an impact on your other licenses.

Make sure you’re wearing proper safety equipment, checking your speed and keeping your documentation on you at all times.
