Alice Mary Malcho, age 71, of RR 5, Stratford passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at home on Tuesday May 6, 2014.
Born in Wilmot Township, daughter of the late George and Lillian (Schmidt) Diamond. Alice was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She worked at Fram/Allied Signal/Honeywell for 40 years. During her retirement years she enjoyed delivering the Stratford Gazette. Family was very important to Alice and most of all her little pride and joy grandson Tyson.
Beloved wife of Floyd Malcho whom she married on October 12, 1961 and who predeceased her on June 16, 2012. Loving mother of Cindy Searles (Terry), Cathy Malcho-Wilson (Kevin Acheson), Barry Malcho and Mike Malcho (Anita O’Grady). Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Dear sister of Russell and Jean Diamond and Grace Trachsel. Sister-in-law of Bernice Malcho, Don Kellum, Frances Diamond, Elsie Diamond, Harvey and Hilda Roth and Sharon Diamond. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. Sadly missed by many good friends, family and co-workers.
Predeceased by brothers Ralph Diamond, Donald Diamond, Lawrence Diamond and wife Carol, Harold Diamond, sister Olive Roth, brothers-in-law Douglas Malcho, Franklin Berger and wife Kathleen, sisters-in-law Betty Kellum, Joyce Marshall and husband Gordon.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Friday May 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday May 10th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Rev. Jeff Laustsen will officiate.
