Stratford man charged after police say he broke into London Police headquarters

A 42-year-old Stratford man faces charges after police say he broke into the police headquarters in London.

Police say it happened shortly after 1 o’clock Thursday morning when the man used a bicycle chain to strike the glass on the north side of the headquarters on Dundas Street.

They say he was eventually able to get into the building, when he was told to stop by police and didn’t, they say they used a taser to subdue him.

According to police, the man was also seen earlier breaking the front doors at two other buildings.

Roger Marchand faces charges including Break and Enter with Intent and Possession of a Weapon.

Police say the damage caused is estimated to be around $3 thousand and he was due in court Thursday.
