The reviews are in and it looks like the Amazing Race’s pit stop in Stratford was a big hit.
The episode aired Tuesday night and people across the city, including a sold out auditorium at Stratford City Hall, took it in with many positive reviews posted on social media.
During their stop in the city, the seven teams competing on the show had to take part in challenges including reenacting a choreographed sword fight at the Stratford Festival and racing around in paddle boats.
Stratford Mayor Dan Mathieson appeared on the show and says he feels it shined a bright light on the city.
“I think what you have to realize is we could never buy that type of marketing exposure and we had a series of demographics, both young and old, male, female, cross the country, socio economic status, all those things viewing into Stratford and they saw some of the best parts of Stratford.”
As far as the competition goes, none of the seven teams competing were eliminated after their challenges in Stratford.
