Perth County OPP say they used an overdose-reversing drug to save a man’s life in Perth South.
They say just after 7:30 Sunday night they were called to a home on Perth Line 4 about an unresponsive male.
According to police, the man was found at the home without vital signs and CPR was performed with the male remaining unresponsive until an officer administered Naloxone.
Paramedics transported the male to hospital where he was stabilized and is recuperating.
The drug can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose and OPP officers are equipped with a Naloxone kit and are trained to use it in an emergency.
