Police are going high-tech to try and solve a brutal 1988 homicide in the Innerkip area.
They say the body of 80-year-old Thera Dieleman was found at her home on Oxford Road 29.
The post-mortem revealed that she had been beaten and strangled but had put up a fight, potentially injuring her attacker.
At a news conference Tuesday morning in London, police unveiled new images created from the DNA recovered at the murder scene.
Two sketches of the suspect were created, one from 1988 and one of what the suspect would look like today.
Police are also still trying to locate the person or persons who would have been driving a flatbed truck farm truck seen in Dieleman’s driveway the day of her murder.
A $50 thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the woman’s killer also remains on offer.
