It’s turtle nesting season.
That means you could come across the reptiles on roads, yards and driveways.
With that in mind The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is asking drivers to keep an eye out for them.
If you come across a nesting turtle on your property you’re asked to not disturb the animal or her eggs.
Seven of Ontario’s eight turtle species are listed as at risk.
Taking care around them is a way to help ensure their survival.
