One man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle south of Stratford.
First responders were called to the intersection of Highway 7 and Perth Line 26 around 4:45 p.m. Friday and once on scene they discovered that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on the highway and the SUV was traveling eastbound on Perth Line 26 at the time of the collision.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital while the driver of the SUV wasn’t hurt.
OPP Constable Laura Brown says the cause of the collision is believed to be intersection related which emphasizes the need to keep a close watch out while driving.
“You do come to a full and complete stop and that everybody takes that extra moment just to make sure that the roadway is clear before you proceed”.
The OPP are carrying out a road safety blitz over the Labour Day long weekend and will be watching out for those who are distracted driving.
