Following the death of his wife in a tragic collision, an Elmira farmer is resuming a cross-country trip.
Hank and Bettina Schuurmans were taking part in the journey to raise awareness about the Canadian dairy industry back in July when they were involved in a collision with a semi-trailer truck north of Saskatoon.
Bettina died in the crash and Hank was seriously injured but he has since recovered and is now walking using crutches.
His daughters are now joining him on the journey as it resumed on Wednesday.
They hope to be in Saskatchewan by Saturday for the Liberal party caucus meeting.
