A Stratford senior is being recognized for her significant contribution to the community.
Eleanor Kane is one of 16 seniors from across Ontario to be presented with an Ontario Senior Achievement Award.
Officials say that she is a major contributor to Stratford’s cultural community and is the co-founder of the Stratford Chefs School, one of Canada’s premier culinary institutions.
She was also the chair of the committee that helped to Market Square be created behind Stratford City Hall.
The 76-year-old was also named Senior of the Year for 2018 by the City of Stratford.
