Stratford Police searching for St.Marys woman wanted in fraud case

Stratford Police are searching for a St.Marys woman wanted in connection to a fraud investigation.

Last Friday, police say they started investigating the theft of a wallet from the Friendship Centre in St.Marys that happened on November 20th.

They say a debit card in the wallet was taken and used at several locations in both St.Marys and Stratford over the next several days.

Police used surveillance footage from the stores where the card was used and it was determined that a man and a woman were involved in the theft with the man discovered in downtown St.Marys and arrested.,

He’s charged with using a stolen credit card and possession of stolen property and police say they can only be identified as a 60-year-old from St.Marys.

The woman was identified as 36-year-old Miranda Grieve from St.Marys and she has warrants out for her arrest from both the Stratford Police and the OPP from an earlier investigation.

She faces fraud-related charges as well as breach of probation and breach of recognizance.
