Two young girls accused by police of taking their parents vehicle for a joyride in Clinton are in trouble.
Just after midnight on Sunday, OPP officers were putting on an R.I.D.E. check in the north end of the community when they say they saw a vehicle do a U-turn and try to avoid the check.
The vehicle was stopped and an officer determined that the driver and her passenger were both 15-years-old with the officer also determining that the two girls had taken the vehicle out without permission from their parents.
The driver has been ordered to complete a Youth Diversionary Program so she won’t be charged.
