A new Stratford City Council is preparing to take office.
The inaugural meeting for the new council is scheduled for this Monday night where a piper will lead the processional of council members into the auditorium.
An invocation will be delivered by Father Dick Bester and the Declaration of Office will be administered to the Mayor and Councillors by the Honourable Justice Kathryn McKerlie.
The new Council’s first order of business will be to adopt the report of the 2018 Nominating Committee, which recommends the composition of the Council’s standing committees and sub-committees.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and it’s open to the public.
