The Perth East Fire Department is being recognized when it comes to fire prevention and public education.
The department has been selected by First Alert Canada as one of four departments from across the province that has demonstrated “Leadership, Activities, and Support as it related to the common goal of reducing deaths and damage from Fire and Carbon Monoxide.”
The department was one of four selected out of 442 across Ontario.
Perth East Fire Chief Bill Hunter accepted the First Alert/ BRK Fire Prevention Leadership Award at the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs Annual General Meeting on Monday.
