Home sales in the Stratford area in November slower than the previous year

It looks like home sales in our area have slowed down.

The Huron Perth Association of Realtors says there were 144 residential units sold in November which represents a 16-per-cent drop when compared to the same time frame in 2017.

As for year-to-date numbers, they have also dropped with the 2,025 units that have been sold so far working out to 19-per-cent less than the year before’s first 11 months.

As for good news, there has been a 12 per cent increase in the average price of homes this year over last.

The association says the inventory for homes in November was down about 10 per cent from last year which is also the fewest amount of homes on the market for a November in almost thirty years.
