The MPP for Perth-Wellington will have some added responsibilities come the new year.
The Ontario government has created a new advisory committee aimed at growing the province’s farming sector and it will be chaired by Randy Pettapiece.
Pettapiece is also the parliamentary secretary to provincial agriculture minister Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman.
The government says in a statement that the committee will start meeting in the new year.
The heads of three agriculture groups will vice-chair the committee.
