West Perth woman charged after police say she tried to avoid RIDE program

A 26-year-old West Perth woman has been charged after police say she tried to avoid a RIDE check.

Perth County OPP say they were conducting a RIDE program in West Perth around 12:15 Saturday morning when the woman was stopped after trying to avoid the check.

Officers reported that after speaking with her they determined that she was impaired and she was transported to the OPP detachment in Sebringville for further testing.

She has been charged with Operation while impaired by alcohol and she has a court date scheduled for January 28th in Stratford.
