Scientists call for pesticide ban to save bees

Local beekeepers have been losing their hives to colony collapse disorder.

Scientists may finally have an answer.

Fifty scientists from the Task Force on Systemic Pesticides have pinpointed two types of pesticides they believe are killing the bees and it’s time to phase them out.

They came to this conclusion based on the data drawn from 800 research papers.

Butterflies, earthworms and birds are also being harmed by these chemicals.
