Roy A Wicke passed away very peaceful on June 24, 2014, Husband of Jacqueline Wicke, father of Brian and Lorna Georgina. Grandfather of Jessica, April, Matthew, Erin and Russell.  Great grandfather of Ayden. Survived by his brother George (Elaine) Wicke and sister Betty (Carl) Gingerich. Roy will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Roy was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Clara Wicke. Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will Live, even tho he dies” John 11:25 Roy was given life by his creator October 19, 1935. Roy was baptized and confirmed at Second St. John’s Lutheran Church Wartburg. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Stratford.  Family and friends may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home 430 Huron Street., Stratford on Sunday June 29, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday June 30, 2014 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 115 Cambria Street., Stratford, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Wartburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of one’s choice through the funeral home. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
