James Keith (Pappy) Ney, age 82, of Sebringville passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2014. He was born in Stratford, son of the late William and Florence Ney. Beloved husband of the late Donna (Nelson) who predeceased him April 18, 1990. Loving father of Susan Solomon (Fred), Nancy Ney, James Ney (Kathy), Tom Ney (Chris). Grandfather of Shauna Solomon-Patel (Sunil), Joshua Solomon (Carolyn), Erinn Solomon, Amber Seli (Shaun), Jamie Ney (Melanie), Katie Ney (Kurtis), Ashley Ney (Randy), Jenna Ney and Jacob Ney. Great grandfather of Emma, Olivia, Adelaide and Bethany. Dear brother of Kenneth Ney, Gerald Ney (Marion), Ross Ney (Ruth). Also survived by sisters-in-law Muriel Ney, Fern Hogg, Alfrieda Barron and several nieces and nephews and their families. Besides his parents and wife he was predeceased by a brother Ronald Ney. Jim worked at Kroehler’s for many years until his retirement. He had been a volunteer with the Sebringville Fire Department of many years and loved to fish and golf. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, July 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Sebringville Cemetery.
